This is more of a support question, related to using Lemmy. Please see the sidebar for a list of communities that offer support and a list of places to find communities. Removing under rule #3.
Just listen to Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush on repeat for the rest of your life, it’s fantastic.
Probably asklemmy (where we already are) is best:

More descriptive? Just random song suggestions?
Something like “if I like X song/genre/artist/band, what else would I like?”
I feel like most streaming services handle this pretty well themselves. No such luck?
There are times where I want suggestions from people, not an algorithm
It’s all the time for me…zero trust in companies. If they recommend something, it’s never for my benefit.
As suggested in another comment, I’d just create a post in this same community or another like it asking for similar artists to x. A community full of “I like x, who else would I like” probably wouldn’t have a whole lot of traction.
It’s a fairly active instance so you should get some feedback at least.
Theres also https://live.hexbear.net/c/music for live listening/sharing, but like 30% chance anyone is on at any given time.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !music@hexbear.net
There’s !music@beehaw.org where you could ask.
