Hey guys, looking to upgrade my 1060 as I want to play Starfield and as we can all see its time my beloved GPU cant handle it. I will start with some facts :

  1. budget is ideally 300 bucks. I can go to 400 if its really worth it.
  2. I don’t have specific games I play. I can only tell you what I don’t usually play and that’s competitive online games. Otherwise I want it to be able to play everything and be able to play it decently for the next 4-5 years, like my 1060 did until today.
  3. My PSU is Corsair 550VS and my monitor is 1080p 144HZ. CPU is i7 9700KF.

Don’t want to change any of those. 4. Prices in my country are like this :

3060 12 GB ~ 290E

3060ti ~ 390E

3070 ~ 450E

4060 ~320E

4060ti ~450E

4070 ~ 650

Now the obvious choice here is the 4060. Its close to 3060ti and its much quieter, cold and low Watt usage. But on the other hand after reading opinions and viewing reviews it feels like a WEAK card for the money I give. Am I wrong?

Is it better to save my money and wait for a sale to get the 3060 and the future proof 12GB VRAM for like 250 euros?

Is it better to go with the 3060ti but will my psu hold it? I don’t like going on limits of any component.

Maybe the 3070 but again, does it worth the price hike and will my psu hold?

Definitely I wont go with the 4060ti as the money are too high for a card that is being crashed by everyone and not for the 4070 because its too expensive for my budget

Any thoughts will be appreciated. Sorry for my bad English
