I have an NVIDIA RTX 3090 paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I initially believed that this processor would never bottleneck my video card at 4K. However, upon researching online, I came across several YouTube videos featuring the RTX 3090 TI (which shouldn’t differ significantly from mine) tested on various games with different CPUs, including my own, the i9-13600K, i9-13900K, and the i7-7800X3D, which appears to be the best performer. After watching these videos, I noticed a difference ranging from a 25% to 50% increase in performance at 4K.

In most cases, ray tracing and DLSS were not enabled, which raises the question of how much the differences would be with RTX ON as well. I’ve included a video link for reference: (6) RYZEN 7 7800X3D vs RYZEN 9 5900X | Test in 6 Games - YouTube . Considering these findings, do you think it would be worthwhile to upgrade from the Ryzen 9 5900X to the i7-7800X3D?
