Ancient i7-5775C + moderately old RX 5700 XT here. Debian sid, Kernel 6.4, Mesa / Proton GE will be at their latest version from github.

I am in dilemma since almost a week. 5700 XT seems to be doing fine at ~30-45 fps with max settings at 1080p no upscaling. So, the GPU is definitely fine.

What frustrates me the most is nobody has been able to demonstrate how the game performs with older CPUs. 100% reviewers are shills obviously because they get their revenue from selling newer hardware.

It will take around 2+ days to download the game at the speed I get and ~$10 extra for 120+ GiB data.

I badly want to buy the game but it doesn’t seem worth the hassle until somebody with similar CPU tier (Intel 2nd gen - 8th gen quad core i7s/i3s) could confirm that the game is running fine or not. This has kept me from buy it yet.

I am totally fine with locked fps at anywhere between 30 to 35 fps range. (I have been playing Death Stranding since weeks at 30 fps max settings FSR quality at 4K downscaled to 1080p, and I surprisingly used to 30 fps now LOL).
