Having joined that is the reason why I was finally able to reconnect(even though it’s not really my general tendency to use chat apps). Now I know it’s a good backup for communication if things go wrong.

So what happened is that I wasn’t hosting the site when it went down, and I didn’t have the contact information for dv, and I couldn’t think of any way to contact him to get access to copy the server or to get things back up.

The server had seemed to run out of space, and there wasn’t any way for me to fix it and I never figured out how to contact anyone(which I eventually did, through Slack, because by coincidence I opened it because I needed to use it for work and it automatically connected to the slack channel that people from Macstack were using). I hadn’t known that anyone was really concerned about me until TOS reached out, but I was okay. I talked to people on the Slack channel and then ukimalefu said he still thought in the back of his mind that the site would come back eventually, which gave me the idea of bringing the site back up(and now with Lemmy, it looks like that’s possible).

And, I guess surprisingly for the reason that I never became really concerned about things, was that I ended up actually going in for an autism diagnosis. So that might help explain why I was off being okay and not realizing that people would be concerned that anything had happened to me.

I am okay. It’s good to see that other people are okay, too!
