minus-squareunknowing8343@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up14·1 month agoIt’s a shame that Proton VPN has no official flatpak. The Arch Linux AUR package’s been broken for a long while now.
minus-squareTyoda@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up7·1 month agoYeah. The protonvpn-gtk-app (or something like that) AUR package works fine, though. Really barebones but does the job.
minus-squareAkatsuki Levi@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 month agoI’d take a barebones but functional app over a one-bazillion-features but buggy and broken app any day of the week
minus-squareboredsquirrel@slrpnk.netlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·1 month agoIts crazy that they have a Flatpak though. MullvadVPN wouldnt work because they do really privileged stuff to hook in your connection, block it on early boot etc. Your device is pretty much airgapped. A flatpak cant do that.
minus-squareunknowing8343@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 month agoDoesn’t exist anymore in the AUR
minus-squareVoltage@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up3·1 month agoit works perfectly well for me. im even posting this reply connected to protonvpn from AUR [garuda-linux]
minus-squareunknowing8343@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 month agoIt doesn’t even exist anymore, you are probably using something old.

minus-squareunknowing8343@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 month agoNot really, most of the AUR points to the official source. And in this particular case, the actual Proton team was actually managing the AUR package.
minus-squareMolten_Moron@lemmings.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 month agoAgreed, but I am glad they at least have the option to set it up through WireGuard.

Aint the official one
Isn’t that the majority of AUR?
Not really, most of the AUR points to the official source. And in this particular case, the actual Proton team was actually managing the AUR package.
Agreed, but I am glad they at least have the option to set it up through WireGuard.
