I don’t remember how I heard of it, but just binged-watched it over the past few days. Ratings seem a little bit above average, but I found it very enjoyable. I liked that the mood oscillates between modern comedy and tragic comedy; and that it seems to implicitely critique modern society. The series almost feels like an allegory (or perhaps I’m reading too much in to it).

Loved it. Every single actor and actress is doing a stellar job. The character arcs are fantastical but also believable due to the obscenely crazy circumstances they all find themselves in during the chosen setting of the show. I am very surprised it has such low ratings, I think it is a triumph in what it set out to accomplish.

I watched it because Netflix advertised it as a comedy but I didn’t really find it all that funny. It’s not what I typically watch but I still think it was pretty alright. The ratings do seem a bit low for what it was. I found the Derry Girls girl and that red headed prick to be my favorite characters.

The music was also amazing and super unexpected. Whoever thought “Yes right here we should play Master and Servant by Depeche Mode” was an absolute genius.

I haven’t finished it yet, but yeah what a lovely surprise of a show!! Delightfully light and sexy, but the dark humor hits in just the right ways. A lot of it seemed to be dancing around hidden desires, and the tension between social/cultural norms.
