In an office setting sick days literally help productivity, because metrics and workload should account for employee’s work hours. If someone’s on leave for a day, theyre taken out of production numbers. If they “tough it out” then production numbers say they should produce a normal days workload. You end up looking worse encouraging a work culture where people don’t take days off.
