Greetings, non-native and curious here.

I know a transport manifest is the document that lists contents being transported: items, quantities, etc… often used in long-haul trucks.

Are there other documents like this? Invoiceable? If i own a small business and go buy, say, a laptop at another business (requiring such a document since it’s a B2B transaction and the item will be carried in a company vehicle), is it still a “transport manifest” or does it have another name?

Generally, Proof Of Delivery(POD) is any kind of document that has a receiver’s signature in acceptance of delivery.

Bill of Lading(BOL, example) is used when something is transported under hire, describing terms for transport. The manifest would be a list attached to the BOL. A BOL signed by the receiver or consignee serves as proof of delivery.

Delivery Receipt (example) is a document to show when and where something was delivered. May or may not be POD.

Bill of Landing is probably what i was looking for, thanks.

Edit: although i’m also getting “waybill” and “transport guide”.

I’m not quite sure what you’re asking. Usually something like this (a tool) would be listed on a document for your insurance so it would be covered. If it is being taken across international borders it may be required to be included on your Carnet de Passage
