I AM talking about politics, but it isn’t exactly the point of the post, so bare with me.
I voted and supported the candidate I thought would be in the best interest for this country. It sickens me when I see people on either side saying they voted because they wanted to see (certain group) suffer, and post-election are gleefully saying they’re happy to see the other side hurting - and I’m not referring to any particular side here, I see it on both.
Like, I understand how divided we’ve become as a country, but to vote based on who you think would suffer the most? It’s just so hard for me to believe that we have this many people who see the world like this. It’s one thing to say people deserve whoever they voted for, as this is a true (though callous) statement, it’s another thing entirely to mock others and blame others for that.
I feel like if anything, people with Autism have WAY MORE empathy than NTs. We are more likely to vote how we THINK the world should work, and not how we would benefit from it the most.
