I found the FAQ but it doesn’t really explain much. I’m looking for a very basic guide here, like what are badges and what are boosts etc.?

Also I see that I can view a list of all the magazines for this instance, but is there a way I can view the magazines for other instances? For example I see a lot of posts from lemmy.world showing up on my homepage but outside of clicking into those posts I don’t know how to see what magazines lemmy.world offers.
