I have a 12 ft vaulted ceiling in my bedroom with a drop down fan hanging at about 9 ft.

My kids also love balloons.

In spite of my best efforts, they once let a helium balloon drift into the running fan. I shut the fan off as soon as I could but the balloon ribbon still got wrapped up around the fan. I carefully removed as much as I could. I think I got it all. I turned the fan back on and everything ran fine.

It’s been years, but sometimes, I still wonder if there is balloon ribbon in there patiently waiting for it’s day to shift positions and work it’s way into the motor and have it’s revenge on my ceiling fan.

I hope you enjoyed my ceiling fan story.
