Thoughts? I’m considering making a Kbin, as a sort of sister instance to the Lemmy here. Kbin is also a federated reddit clone.
The purpose would be so that folks can have their choice between the two softwares, but since they federate with each other they’d still have all the same content and community.
I chose Lemmy cuz it’s vastly more popular, but kbin seemed like better software.
It would probably just be under kbin.rqd2.net and share the same Matrix homeserver and GC
It wouldn’t matter to me, but if others are interested, then I think it’d be a good idea.
That would basically be just a different frontend, right? No need for separate accounts and no potential for duplicate communities? Lemmy’s fine with me, but as long as it doesn’t cause confusion, I guess another option wouldn’t hurt.
