    The problem here is that people often conflate Israel and Judaism as one and the same, when that’s absolutely not the case. You can have problems with how Israel operates as a nation without being antisemitic. It’s hard to have any nuanced conversations about Israel and Palestine if you don’t grok this.

      I feel like most people who have an opinion on this conflict at this point distinguish between Israel and the jewish people writ large. It seem to me, and this is just my personal experience, that the only people worried about anti-semitism stemming from condemning Israel are people who support Israel trying to paint critiques of Israel as anti-semitic.
