House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, has lost a secret vote to remain his party’s nominee for House speaker, several Republican lawmakers told reporters.
Jordan lost the ballot by 86-112, Rep. Kat Cammack, R-Fla., said. She added that Republicans will leave town for the weekend, and members have until noon on Sunday to declare their candidacy. A candidate forum is expected Monday.
Guess it sucks to suck? Jim Jordan’s had his job for 16 years and never passed a bill - but hey, let’s put him in charge of making sure bills can get passed! Talk about welfare queens, this asshole loser has been taking the government’s money and purposefully not working the whole time! If only we could all be so lucky.
So he’s the most successful republican in congress. He’s got “government is ineffective” written all over him.
He’d be in position to have as many as four people working right underneath him.
