Saying teams are “lucky” as if there’s something else controlling on pitch decisions besides the ref.

I’m sorry, did I miss the part where Konate had to flip a coin or guess a number correctly? It’s not ‘luck’ it’s incompetence. I do not see the logic of how Young was sent off but Konate wasn’t.

There’s an argument to be made that Konate not getting a second was consistent. I wouldn’t, as booting the ball away isn’t as serious as a foul, but you could argue it.

After the howling error VAR made against Liverpool and Klopp’s replay comment you could tell a journalist was waiting for Liverpool to have a wrong decision go for them. I enjoyed the glee in the journos voice as he ironically asks, “Should the game be replayed?” It was even more enjoyable watching Klopp say, “What, of course not.” Like the journo was a complete idiot for suggesting it, which is what we all thought of Klopp originally.

This season in particular it seems like there’s way more refereeing incompetence and apologies. Seriously something has to be done because we might get away with it this time, then next time we’ll get a red card for something completely dumb, and then another team gets it.

Meanwhile what repercussions do refs get? Good process, I’m sowwy uwu, probably taken off for several matches, at worst maybe never reffing that particular team’s games anymore. I get that reffing isn’t an easy job and human error still happens despite the tech, but surely it shouldn’t be this bad.

And VAR being too heavy handed with the Saliba penalty, after the on field team said he was too close to the initial header

PGMOL should just be left on delivered at this point, apologies mean nothing

don’t know why they say lucky, would have scored 3 with 10 men.

As bad decisions go, 1 missed yellow and 1 penalty not being given is actually a pretty good week for the refs, so well done refs 👍

No team had 2 yellow cards vs Liverpool for 8 years.

Suddenly all the shit happens a couple weeks ago and suddenly this happens?

Refs do not seem objective at all.

City have been getting away with those sorts of tackles for years, free kick only, never a card. The ball was going through to van dijk anyway

I’m fucking tired man. It’s just too many shockingly shit decisions time after time from these clown referees.
