Just wait until you find out what happens in the field during a war
If your rolling coal, you are literally pumping unused diesel fuel out the car. You’re efficiency is absolute dog shit.
Being a rural hick doesn’t make you southern. It’s only been the last 20-30 years that Midwest small towns have been trying to preteend that they are southern rednecks.
Theu don’t actually meet at a point, but suburbs in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut all feed into and support New York City. We do have a couple of “bi-state” areas like St. Louis, Kansas City, and Cincinnati. It’s the result of our cities rising into prominence after political boundaries were drawn up, whereas most major European cities had the modern political boundaries drawn up around them.
The only cotoes that i would really describe as “tri-state” are NYC, Washington (since the District of Columbia is a seperate entity than Maryland and Virginia) Philadelphia, and Chicago. Philadelphia is the only one of these where the 3 states actually meet at a single point though.
No online version of the painting can do it justice. The original at the rijksmuseum is absolutely massive with endless detail.
Then why is it the United States of Mexico? Calling them and Canadians just reeks of Manifest Destiny bullshit.
You can tell by the way it lifts it’s skinny fists like antennas to heaven that it’s Godspeedyou nigrumperatorem
People don’t care about shit like that. They want to know what you are gonna do to make their lives better.
Because the DNC sceapped those proposals for more neoliberal bullshit that every one hates. People are vocal about what they care about. If people tell me they want steak and i keep giving them tacos, they are going to leave the restaurant and get pizza from the sketchy local joint next door instead.
Start offering policies that help average people. Run on medicare for all. Run on forcing pharmaceutical companies lowering drug prices. Run on building new factories to create solar panels, geothermal equipment, and wind turbines. Run on creating affordable housing and ending corporate landlords. Run on campaign finance reform with a promise of ending political ads that everyone hates.
The Democrats problem is tha they won’t do any of that because their donors dont want it. But as long as the DNC values their donorsore than their voters, they will continue to lose elections.
So you believe that people who don’t vote for what you want deserve punishment?
People have been screaming at you for 8 years that “Not Trump” is not a viable election strategy. You need to offer an actual, concrete alternative. Until the Democrats start actually offer real alternatives, they will continue to be shocked these results.
No it’s not. People won’t participate in a system they feel only exists to harm them. If i am at a bar and one bartender says they are gonna kill me if i dont tip 50% and the other bar tender says that they’ll only rough me up a bit if i I don’t tip 30%, not getting a drink from either.
People would rather not participate instead of legitimize a system that only does them harm.
Even the rural college town my grandma grew up in had tram lines running down the main streets in the 30’s and to both colleges. If a city had more than 20,000 residents 100 years ago, they probably had a tram system that was pulled up at GM’s behest.
I’m saying that you can only piss on someone and call it rain for so long. Young voters onow that both parties are going to screw them over regardless, so they don’t want to vote. It’s turkeys voting on the side dishes at Thanksgiving.
Loan forgiveness isn’t a solution. It’s something the immediately help, but it does nothing ti address the growing costs of the higher education that is needed for any sort of comfortable life.
Monopoly busting is good for the other corporations. Just because a company does anti-consunmer behavior doesn’t mean they aren’t also get screwed by another company’s anti-consumer behaviors.
It’s a concerningly lovely day in the western basin. Shit is rough for me financially, but I’m gonna go out and run some errands before work tonight. I’m curious to see what the crowd will be like at the bar, especially since it has been so dead recently.
Are you calling Bill Clinton a progressive? He’s the one that really put the DNC on their fast track to the right. he was playing from the same playbook as Tony Blair. He won in 92 because HW Bush reneged hard on his 88 campaign slogan of “No New Taxes”
It can be both.
