If he bends over the donuts will fall off
I guess that makes the bird a hero then! o7
And it benefits the scalpers as well, who can point at the inflated retail prices and ask for even more.
With a bit of training could be an invaluable defender: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=00szWWrTNnE
Tbh, I don’t know, I don’t like chatting to strangers either, but when a stranger asks how my day is, or how the weather is, I assume they don’t really care. Which means I can lie to them to wrap it up if I want. The level of care is probably proportional to the closeness? Small talk with partner == important, care a lot, small talk with neighbour == less important, less care, small talk with stranger == not important, no care?
I also care about the “how was your day” convo with my partner, but I consider it small talk as there is usually nothing critically important about it. Its not gonna result in a major financial or life decision 99% of the time.
If you date someone for 2+ years, at that point, you know what their opinions are on all meaningful topics. All there is left to discuss is small talk: how’s your day, did you like the TV show, etc.
Unless your both happy sitting in silence, you’ll probably drift apart.
Edit: I think the issue a lot of people here have is not small talk itself, its small talk with strangers. Asking a loved one about their day is small talk, but that doesn’t diminish its value.
Based on where we are, I’d assume trans or ally as well, but if it was on twitter, less sure. Its contextual.
Oh, of course not, not accusing you of anything, its just an interesting language quirk. Sorry if it felt like an attack.
Its impossible to tell if this is meant to be transphobic (aggressively misgendering the third party), or empowering (third party is a controlling self-identifying man).
Edit: this is not an attack on the OP, just a poorly worded observation that the image can be interpreted differently depending on context. Sincerest apologies for any offense.
Linux distros are getting mature
I think this is exactly it. Back in the early days of Fedora and Ubuntu a new release often meant major bug fixes, new software, and possibly a significant qol/usability changes and performance changes. Now, its all new versions of stable software, which all behave roughly the same. Which is exactly what you want in a daily driver OS. Stability.
Thats for proving its untampered with right? I’m more thinking of validating the archive copy is a “true” copy when adding it initially, which requires each node to check against the live site?
Its definitely an intriguing idea though, but I don’t know enough to know how feasable it can be
I figured that every node would need to scrap the site, in order to validate the content. If there are thousands of nodes, that would ddos the site.
I don’t really understand how PoW would solve that, can you explain?
Yeah, quite possibly. Could still be very hard to get right. Region blocking might make consensus difficult.
Edit: just occurred to me, any method of consensus could be used to ddos sites as well. Might be best left for people smarter than me
There was a ActivityPub wiki clone, no idea where it got to.
The major upside of IA being built and owned by one central company is trust. We can (so far at least, if I’m wrong please correct me) trust IA to not censor/rewrite history. As soon as every man and his dog can contribute, that gets a lot harder to guarantee.

Don’t take me linking it as endorsement, I think federated wiki’s for anything other than fandom stuff to be madness.
Is there something deeper going on with IV fluids? I was in hospital in Aus a few months back, and they had an IV fluids shortage as well, long before any hurricane in a far off country occurred.
We won’t even pay nurses properly, as if they are gonna get given exoskeletons…
Text is a bad medium for conveying emotion.
To me, :/ has always been a fairly neutral expression, like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
or 😐, I would have used :( to convey upset, but its certainly reasonable that others would read it differently.
I kinda hoped my other comments would have made it clearer, but again, text is a bad medium :( oh well
Its a joke, relax. Almost all games get speed run, no reason to expect this to be different. And any% speed runs often skip huge portions of the story, no reason to expect this to be any different either. There is nothing to be mad at, it’ll likely happen, it’ll likely be silly/funny to watch.
I guess you’d get donut sugar in your belly button? But if your already heading down the road of fucking donuts, that might not be a concern.
Probably get ants though.
