As long as your Canadian carrier uses bands that are supported by your phone, it’ll work.
As for battery, that’s up to you. I personally wouldn’t trust a cheap battery replacement in my personal phone.
Pardon me asking but what are you carrying around in your phone that takes up so much storage?
