Yeah, sounds about right.
Both Belgium and Portugal have the potential to reach tier 1 imo.

Nah, i’d say Belgium has a decent chance as well. The new team is doing great and Belgium has a pretty good history at the world cup
14 appearances, 2 Semi-finals, a bunch of quarter finals…
There’s definitely a chance Belgium can win a WC in the next decades.
Belgium ? 11,5 million people, 2 WC semi-finals, 1 Euro final and 1 Euro semi-final…I’d say that’s a great history for a relatively “small” country…
Imo, Belgium are currently second tier like Denmark and Croatia, but i’d say Belgium are closer to becoming a top football nation in the ( near ) future.
Honestly…Should be top 8 leagues, imo.
I feel like the gap between Belgium/Portugal/Netherlands isn’t really that big. Portugal and Netherlands have a stronger 'big 3", but Belgium has the stronger league on average with more teams capable of competing in Europe.
That, and Belgium has historically always been a top 10 ( even top 5 at times ) league.
I mean, Belgium has nearly always been 8th best league in Europe, even before the Conference League, but yeah, it’s definitely easier to farm points now.
Tbf, Club Brugge had some good years in the CL.
And there was Gent in 2015.
But yeah, nowadays, our clubs are Europa League and Conference League level.
Out of the last 5 tournaments, Belgium reached 3 quarter finals and 1 semi-final.
Just saying.
