if you watch back some of Tomi’s highlights from the 2021-2022 season, he was devastating in attack at RB. his lung busting runs to support counterattacks like Lacazette’s goal against Southampton, or his assist for Martinelli against Newcastle are all quality.

I hate the subjectivity within the laws of the game now, especially the intentionality of hand balls. You can’t tell me players aren’t gaming this and sticking their arms out more in duels or shot block attempts.

Romero had like two “unintentional” hand balls in our game against spurs before he finally gave away a pen, and even the hand stopping an on target shot was called harsh by a lot of the commentariat. I really miss the binary days of handball that more or less forced defenders to stick their hands behind their back rather than this flailing around “unintentional”nonsense.
