Love seeing the toothbrush merchant crying after shushing the fans
Should have been MOTM really, either him or Simon
Iñigo looks much worse with his new haircut
Gavi got away with murder there at first glance. Maybe the replay will show otherwise
Marcos Alonso own goal incoming
Idk if it’s because he still hasn’t learned (learnt?) where to position himself or something else, but whenever Lamine plays the rest of the team doesn’t pass to him enough
Beautiful first touch from Nico Williams
I love how Sancet’s dribbling technique is just to keep running into Barça defenders and use the rebound to win the ball on the other side of them
Vinicius will feast against Cancelo next week. Don’t see Araujo starting as a RB with Kounde out
I just don’t see how this is going to work with nobody in the box for Barça. I get that Ferran has been dreadful as a 9 and he’s basically the only option, but there’s nobody to keep the Athletic club CB’s busy
Ferran Torres almost accidentally playing an elite pass to Felix
Anyone know why Lamine isn’t in the starting XI for Barça?
Rather than a personal obsession, seems to me he’s being a shrewd politician. He knows how much the Barça socios - who vote in the presidential elections - will like that sort of stuff
Yeah, Messi and Neymar are so lucky. Ronaldo is stuck with bums like Checks notes Bernardo Silva, Rafael Leao, Joao Cancelo and Checks notes again Joao Felix, Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandez…
I’d say it’s harder to win the Euros.
But I’d say it’s harder to qualify for either the Copa America or World Cup in South America.
My reasoning is that there is a much greater number of nations in Europe, and with that a larger pool of both elite level teams and poor teams.
Translated: Qualifying in Europe is easier because you’re much more likely to be playing against teams like San Marino, Gibraltar, Lichtenstein, etc. whilst winning the Euros is harder because there are also a greater number of top level teams (such as Italy, England, Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Croatia, Portugal, etc.) who you need to eventually play and beat to win the actual tournament.
Realistically, the only elite teams in South America right now are Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. However, I believe teams like Chile, Colombia, etc. are much tougher to beat than the likes of San Marino.
