  • I’d say it’s harder to win the Euros.

    But I’d say it’s harder to qualify for either the Copa America or World Cup in South America.

    My reasoning is that there is a much greater number of nations in Europe, and with that a larger pool of both elite level teams and poor teams.

    Translated: Qualifying in Europe is easier because you’re much more likely to be playing against teams like San Marino, Gibraltar, Lichtenstein, etc. whilst winning the Euros is harder because there are also a greater number of top level teams (such as Italy, England, Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Croatia, Portugal, etc.) who you need to eventually play and beat to win the actual tournament.

    Realistically, the only elite teams in South America right now are Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. However, I believe teams like Chile, Colombia, etc. are much tougher to beat than the likes of San Marino.
