Isnt the only reason to use f-droid foss apps? Like, if you want shitty apps with ADS and subscriptions, you might as well just use aurora store
Just use obtainium
Because not many people from somewhere like greece shop on walmart or best buy, and many people who use Firefox also are anti amazon
Funtoo is bring abandoned in August
For people like me who thought they have to hack into the Pentagon to spoof their Browser data: you can do that by using chameleon, an extension thats at least in the Firefox add on page
„tired of sucking one Multimillion Dollar companys balls? Just Suck the balls of another!“
Except that chromium and everything based on it is Sending information about your pcs Ressource usage on Google sites, as far as I have heard
Gentoo is designed for this kind of PC Also, if you habe another PC to run distcc on, it might maybe even to usable
I did indeed not know that you can do such thing, thank you for pointing this out to me.
That is indeed my plan, to learn more about Linux by using complex Distros and learning how to use it.
Well, wasnt it already there like a week ago? Or was that only because I’m on testing repos?
Yeah, but unfortunately it is impossible to buy a phone without that
So i support Google by using an open source OS? Just because your phone uses Android dosent mean it has any Google services included. Since Android itself is open source, there are many Android OSs that dont include any Google Software.
I habe no idea why everyone thinks arch breaks all the time. Ive used arch for almost half a year now and it never broke on me, even tho i am in the tesing repos. Maybe its because i didnt do any crazy shit and followed the manual, but arch has Bern the most stabile for me in a selection from ubuntu to nobara vor opensuse
With diy distro I meant arch, gentoo, and nixOS The distro is meant to run on a PC which is mainly used by non tech sawwy people. And even tho I will be doing all administration tasks on it, I would like it to be as easy to manage themselves as possible, so they become familiar with Linux more.
First of all, its way too clean. The picture has this really sharp look, and the blur looks artificial. The hind leg doesn’t seen normal for the way you see the rest of the dog. Also, the ring of the dog collar has no imperfections, and the dog looks way to still for it to be living.
Why should i open discover, wait half a year for it to load, search for vlc, wait half a year, look if its not a flatpak, realise its a flatpak, repeat
If i could just type sudo pacman -S vlc?
Or search how to update my grub config if I could just type grub-mkconfig -o /mnt/Boot/grub/grub.cfg?
Well, I used invidious the time this post was coming out and I only had a Problem with yewtu.be, the one I host works perfectly to this day
