I can watch up to two games if they are early and high caliber. More than two I get a bit nauseous and have other things to do. I’ll watch the highlights of the games I don’t watch live

Growing up it was one of the few things my family and both my parents enjoyed all together. To watch our national team play. When the team was crushing it in the continental cup I was captivated because it was the performance I wanted to see from a national team. I went all in at that moment.
Referring to the sport, I like it. I like the teams, team crests and identity and the fact football is a continuous game. No constant commercial breaks or waiting for something to happen like in the NFL or MLB.
Tactfully, I don’t think tap in merchants deserve hate since the ability to score goals are very important. Entertainment wise it’s a different story but I bet anyone who team is going through a goal scoring rough patch won’t mind adding a talented goal poacher to their squad.
Zlatan vs England 4-2
Still in awe how Salah and Mane didn’t score. Definitely one the games that will be a highlight of his career.
I think increasing the amount of substitutes is probably the most important change we need atm. Players need rest and players also need game time.
I agree that a red should be given for gross and dishonorable tactics. Shirt pulls that don’t immediately let go, diving inside the penalty box, things of that sort. Either too op or just plain dirty.
Ronaldo’s football style, strength, pace plus his “cool guy” vibe is what most young guys idolize. Messi on the other hand looks like the average man. He’s regularly the shortest player on the pitch and as a result doesn’t have the most charisma but he makes up for it in his skill and football intelligence which is why more mature football fans look past that and focus on the game and what each player brings onto pitch.
For example one of my brothers scoffed at Messi being the best player in the world because he said he looks more like a farmer or taxi driver and not what you’d expect a football superstar to look like. He then said Ronaldo fits more of the idea of what you’d expect to see as a global football athlete. Charisma is the biggest factor that impresses younger minds. In other words who they would rather be is often who they look up to the most.
Those fans don’t understand the full context and probably can’t explain it either. All they understand is Everton, City, and Chelsea are under investigation but Everton is the only one who has received punishment. They believe it’s unfair. They don’t know that City is under a lot more investigation and the punishment can be much more severe than Everton’s. City may face stripping of titles, greater point deduction, and automatic relegation. No one knows the punishment City will face till the day of the verdict but those fans are thinking in the present tense only. After City’s investigation is over it’s possible those same Everton fans will think they got lucky only getting a 10 point deduction
Mostly yes. Particularly because it doesn’t give people the argument that the Premier League isn’t as good as they claim. A PL team winning shows the teams are strong. This is mostly the reason why I want them to win.
I believe that is right
Trent. If we’re behind he’s the kind of player who will whip up from the back and send in a good cross to have someone finish it. That one he got over Zinchenko is a good example. Plus taking that corner quickly while Barcelona was off guard is an instinct you want to see in players when you are trailing. Both of these examples came from Trent playing from a losing game.
Chelsea will be able to sort out their team much faster than United. Chelsea’s problem is merely a matter of Boehly buying specific players to build a sound team whereas United can buy anyone and play like Lampard is in charge.
Spurs squad depth was always going to be a challenge. We all knew their players weren’t good enough to challenge for the title but they were absolutely crushing it with Ange’s strategy. City have the best depth and a big reason they always win the league. But down the line Spurs can put in a good challenge. I think players itching for playing time and optimism in the Spurs team can attract some good players in the near future.
It’s a little more serious than a friendly though it’s nothing seriously noteworthy. Winner of the league and FA Cup trading blows for bragging rights and bonus silverware as a pre-game to the league is slightly interesting; like an appetizer but still boring since nothing is stake. Seems like people who like watching the games for games sake enjoy this.
Mason Mount. Awful season at Chelsea. With the way signings have been at United why would they think he can reinforce anything?
Greatest English player of all time will be decided when he hangs his boots. But I’ll say he is definitely on track with his performances at the moment.
