  • I recently was scrolling through doordash or Uber eats and saw that Home Depot was a choice. Out of genuine curiosity, I went and looked at if they had lumber for sale. Sure enough you can buy 4x4s that are 20 ft long. I was very tempted to try and order one to see what the doordash driver would even do with it.

  • A guy I went to HS with did it in '05 on Halloween. Ironically also dressed as 50 cent which is supposedly what this guy was going for (the guy from my HS pulled it off way better tank top, bulletproof vest, doo rag and in shape vs whatever this guy was going for) The kid was fairly popular, and had a lot of black friends that gave him the OK to do it. No one really cared. If anything people couldn’t believe it was him because he pulled it off so well. That guy can never get into politics now though, as I’m sure someone would dig up that photo.

  • Just had to deal with this with Delta. They moved my flight to a way shittier route. When they do that or make significant schedule changes, you can get your money back even on the “non refundable” tickets. I cancelled and opted for a full refund. Delta sent an email that they were refunding my card. 2 weeks goes by, and no refund. I had to call, lie about the reason for my call so I could get to a human because any time I said what I actually was calling for it would kick me to an automated system that couldn’t solve my problem. I think I said I was buying a ticket or something. Then after 45 minutes hold time, get transferred, to another 15 minute hold. Eventually got to talk with someone and got my money back, but FFS, 3 weeks and a 1+ hour phone call to fix their fuck up is ridiculous.

  • I’m going full old man yells at cloud here, but here goes. I have no problem with E-bikes. They are great, green modes of transportation. Having said that, they are motorized, and imo basically an electric Vespa. To ride one you should be required to be licensed in the state. I see a bunch of 12 -15 year old boys ripping these through the park. Imo this is wildly irresponsible parenting, and going to cause a ton of broken bones and deaths. Kids treat these as toys and have 0 regard for the law. I have seen far too many near collisions when taking my kids to the local park. I think (don’t quote me on this) you don’t need to be licensed for E-bikes and they are treated the same as bicycles here. I’m just assuming because I’ve seen cops look the other way. When I was a kid, go-ped scooters with 2 stroke engines were all the rage among this age group, and eventually the law caught up and I stopped seeing kids riding them. Now it’s the same with E-bikes. I get that kids in this age group want some kind of transportation to go hang out and all, but it’s dangerous having underage, unlicensed people operating them.
