Just watched this movie; it’s solid. Willie Nelson and Jim Belushi co-star! Not familiar with Tangerine Dream, but their soundtrack is far out, gives the movie a Blade Runner feel. (though Blade Runner came afterwards…)

Words to live by! /sincere
I was just extending the bait, didn’t realize people would take it seriously. I’ve added an “/s”.
In reality, the Amazon driver’s pay has been cut, so they ask for a tip. You don’t tip enough so they beat you up. If you could afford to order from Amazon, why didn’t you tip enough? Obviously you’re not supporting essential workers in these trying times. They’re just working hard, feeding you, keeping you clothed, protecting you. But they have families of their own to take care of too. You’re not even ordering enough so they can afford to take a bathroom break.
Note: this was meant to be: /s
Angela Lansbury was in an Elvis movie? Far out.
Partying EVERY day gets kind of boring… You appreciate it more if you spend time just hanging out, like the guy in the meme.
I think if I’d paid $20+ for a theater viewing I’d be disappointed, but as a freebie to play in the background it was great.
I watched the movie only to see Amanda
Her style was great, especially in the earlier scenes, and the cinematographer did a good job. I wish they’d given her character more personality though, she’s a good actor, she could have handled it.
Also there was this scene towards the end where her character’s running a long distance across rough terrain, and they zoom back a bit and supposedly she had been running in stilleto heels… I guess it’s possible to do, but it’s not a skill her character had likely ever picked up…
Line dance during take-off: “now sliiiiide to the back!”
“Why tip someone for a job I’m capable of doing myself? I can deliver food, I can drive a taxi, I can and do cut my own hair. I did, however, tip my urologist. Because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones.” -Dwight Schrute, “The Office”
This is also free on Dailymotion, Japanese dub with English subtitles (480p): https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8tcswo
I just finished watching this. Well, I sped through some of it. I really like Briar Rose’s “look” in the dream sequences… I wish we’d got more of that. I kind of like the ending “twist” though I wish they’d shown more of that too. I reckon they didn’t bc of budget constraints, but still… Anyway, it was OK…
Oh yeah I also came across something called Terminus (1987) which sounds kinda cyberpunk, but haven’t watched it yet. See it free on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dBxa992y1g
In the year 2037, an international sport has been established, wherein a driver of a truck must cross the country and arrive at a designated terminus, while confronting obstacles and enemies along the way. The lead truck, named “Monster”, has been designed by a boy genius (Gabriel Damon) and is to be piloted through the course by a woman named Gus (Karen Allen). Eventually, the truck’s AI fails and Gus ends up in uncharted territories…
oh yeah I also came across a movie called “CyberTracker” (1994) recently. It sounds pretty cyberpunk but def low-budget, I haven’t watched it.
In the future, Eric Anthony Phillips is the head of the Secret Service detachment assigned to protect Senator Bob Dilly (John Aprea). Senator Dilly is a champion of the recently implemented Computerized Judicial System (Computerized Justice for short), a product of Cybercore Industry, that uses data as evidence to determine the guilt of accused criminals, then carries out the sentence using cyborg executioners called “Trackers” (Maniaci). However, the more Phillips learns about Dilly and the Cybercore’s ruthless plans, the more uncomfortable he becomes…
Hmmm… I started watching OtherLife (2017) the other day… it’s more of a techno-thriller than cyberpunk tho… But it does have evil corporates and evil government types… you can see it free here: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x93okqm
It’s kind of meh, but if you’re in the mood for something Inception-like, you might dig it.
OtherLife is a 2017 Australian science fiction thriller film directed by Ben C. Lucas. It stars Jessica De Gouw as the co-founder of OtherLife, a company that developed a form of biological virtual reality. When her business partner, played by T.J. Power, insists she license it for unethical use, she struggles to retain control of her invention with the help of her lover…

This is my first time seeing any of this, but the party arc starts here: https://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5404
This is a pretty horrible movie in terms of acting, plot, realism, special effects, etc. The one redeeming value is the following. Apparently it was made with the support of the local chapter of the Japan Karate Association, a “traditional” shotokan karate organization known for the rigor and quality-control of its training. So every once in a while you’ll see people doing karate moves that clearly demonstrate they’ve spent years of practice on them.
This is a great time for European labs to advertise any open positions.
Mother Nature is a prankster. She was just having a little fun.
Alas! A lot of full movies on dailymotion have been deleted… Including this one…
