They’re only useful for parties imo. Otherwise you put your spatula (or whatever) in the dishwasher and have to wait all week for the dishwasher to fill up with all the other dirty dishes just so you can have your clean spatula back. But yes in the US they are in every kitchen.

42·16 天前The issue is with what they are actually able to accomplish, not what they say they’ll do. And that goes for every Democrat since Carter.
Removing these biases is the whole point of public funding for things. Everyone shares the same resources and people who have more wealth give more. The fact that major institutions that perform public functions rely on private donations is the problem.

Right, but the issue is that if they don’t know what they are doing then the gear is irrelevant. I’ll give an example. If I’m skiing and I see someone hiking up to the off-piste bowl run in brand new topline gear, and they are visibly struggling to do the hike, I can ssume they are inexperienced and might really hurt themselves or crash into someone else.
If it’s a dangerous hobby then this becomes a safety concern.

Think of the system like a force field (the physics kind, not the scifi kind). It pulls bastards into it. If you’re not, you’re in its presence, and you’re susceptible to its effects.
