Critiquing Mozilla when they make mistakes is not the same as hating them. It is healthy to keep these organizations accountable
One can and should critique a company when they make mistakes.
I adore Firefox. Just tired of Mozilla trying features (FF Panorama) and hobbies (Notes) and then abandoning them
Yes, I’m grandfathered into the old cost, or I’d definitely pivot and move to Omnivore
I was cool with them buying Pocket. But as a long time user of Pocket, I feel it has horribly stagnated. Far more features have been lost than have been gained.
He has a bit of a thing for this (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)
I think it should be the suits and shareholders who destroyed Boeing’s engineer-first culture.
Doesn’t seem like much thinking was involved
Me posting links to suck up everyone’s mornings
Within a particular core, the lines can be calibrated (set to a known base point) by radiocarbon dating, comparing to known marker events such as a fire, and also integrating records across trees to create stitched meta-records. Doing so they can also start to estimate the “instrumental” error of the tree itself, since trees can just stop growth entirely sometimes.
Yeah, definitely. Just that those recycling approaches need to be planned ahead of time.
I think the article isn’t clear about the extent they are still used! Would be great to add that in. I first heard of these when Westerners were saying “why don’t we use these instead of styrofoam?!” not considering the resource and disposal concerns that would come with mass quantities of earthenware
I tend to order the patty melt as my initial measure of the quality of a greasy spoon joint
Luxury fruit are a thing in Japan
To me, it seems like a dramatic setting for the climax of a murder mystery
If they did that, anyone could spin up an instance and start just fabricating votes and there’d be no way to know
I think part of the motive is to make brigading harder (show if users or bots are colluding to vote things up or down)
Also the scariest video game boss (for me)
Wow that’s amazing! Thanks for sharing your family history
The leaves look like they’re shriveling. I also see some aerial roots. That could either be a sign of not enough water, or too much, leading to the roots dying and the plant dropping leaves out of stress. I would gradually expose it to more light as well as it looks etiolated. So I would put it in a full sized real pot with good drainage so that it has a nice, regular amount of water delivery, and the greater light will ensure it can use that water adequately (and not get root rot)
