Yeah he wasn’t the most professional, plus he’s been controversial on his political views. It’s a shame, because talent-wise he’s definitely one of my favorite players. I don’t care much for Real Madrid but I got an Özil jersey just because I was fascinated with him.
I’m so jealous of you English (and other European) fans, with so many stadiums at such a short distance. Here in Mexico I’ve been to six stadiums, but some are kind of hard to visit as I’d have to take either a 2 or 3-hour flight or drive for at least seven hours. Other than those, I’ve visited a couple in the US, South America, and Europe.
I’m actually planning a trip to England to visit some stadiums, sounds so much fun.

It’s just that you’re applying pre-draw, so no one knows yet who those teams will be, just that it will be the top-seeded team from group E and whoever ends up as E2. The upside is that it’s easier to get tickets that way.
At least you got to enjoy him a couple of years at his very best, almost making it to a semifinal in the World Cup. Mexico had two generational talents in Carlos Vela and Gio dos Santos, one was completely uninterested and the other had so many discipline issues. I still think so much of what it could’ve been.
If I recall correctly, it was an issue of scarce opportunities for joining the first team.

Puyol is clearly better than Pique. Funny that you mention intelligence, as I feel that Pique’s immaturity (a sign of not being that smart, for me) played against him quite a bit.
