I’ve found that folks with beliefs that aren’t respectable, like believing that minorities don’t deserve rights, tend to need to be reminded to respect other people’s beliefs. Many times those beliefs hurt no one, like belief in astrology.
So they just weaponize and twist the lessons they were given to silence others so they can continue harming others.

Some older folks do that. They print them out to file away or draft their responses (that they then later type and send back). I don’t think it’s as common as it used to be, though.

Honestly, good for them. I hope this changes abusers for the better. It helps when they go to these voluntarily instead of forced. It’s really great that they acknowledge some people who go to these are going for the wrong reasons. (My ex was forced into a program sort of like this by the court, and learned nothing but more vocabulary to try to turn it around on me. He still thinks he did nothing wrong.)

The first part would have tipped me off if I didn’t have multiple customers compare me to Nazi concentration camp workers at my last job.
I was trying to help them get their assigned device to them, so they could do their job… Lots of them didn’t like that their ticketing system went digital.
