I will repeat it: THE PROCEDURE DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE. It does not. There is no way to do it. 087/u, the document that proves that a person has legally changed their gender, does not have any power. I don’t remember exactly, but I think f64 does not provide the ability to get HRT and is only useful in other countries to get HRT there, if that is needed.

It is written that “medical intervention that is focused on changing a person’s gender is prohibited, including HRT and surgeries”. Giving 087/u is a medical intervention, and so it does not have any power now.

Page 4, the “fact of gender change” is replaced with a long string that amounts to “the official comission checks that the genitals match the given gender”. I am too lazy now to check where that change is, but you can see that the procedure of changing the gender marker is no longer recognised there.

Feed it into an OCR, ask any RU person to digest it to you if you do not trust me.

The cases where gender marker was changed after the procedure removal were only because the people applied for it before the ban and got a “we won’t do it because the procedure will dissappear soon” from the place where they went (МФЦ or МВД), and that still required going to a court because the request rejection should not have happened on the “it’ll be impossible soon” premise.

IIRC there’s special procedure for intersex infants, but I, and other people, are not intersex nor infants.

The mechanism for changing gender marker in the documents was removed last year. Trans people cannot change it anymore, and by extention cannot get surgeries or hormones. Whatever, yes.

At the start of this year, “LGBT movement” was deemed to be “extremist” and forbidden. IIRC, an org that was providing legal assistance to LGBT people (including with the cases when people were denied changing gender marker when it was still available) was shut down, others had changed their processes to make it less risky (stricter control of who enters chats, for example). Wearing something like a pride pin can be considered as “supporting LGBT movement” => “supporting extremism” => repeat offences are a felony.

“An entire OS” - that is NixOS. Nix (package manager / build system) can and is often used standalone, on other Linux distributions, and by some on MacOS.

I cannot vouch for ease of use of Nixpkgs’ Go building facilities, but at the very least it should be possible to create a necessary environment for development and compilation of a package. Nix guarantees that it is going to be reproducible.

The main downside of using Nix would be that the declarative approach is different from the imperative one - AFAIK, there is no command to just add something to the environment (nix-shell -p does not count as it is a temporary env without a pinned Nixpkgs, so isn’t reproducible). The second would be that Nixpkgs seems to only have one version of Go and Co. at a time, so if one needs an older version of something they need to find an older version of Nixpkgs.

edit: as I have looked up, there are actually four versions of Go - “go” is 1.20, and “go_1_*” gives 1.21, 1.19 and 1.18 (on unstable Nixpkgs). I don’t know about other pieces of the environment though.

Most of Steam games rely on Proton for support. You need to enable it in Steam’s settings, under Steam Play.

Since the regular points have already been covered by other people, I’ll add one thing that I like:

Two batteries. The external one is drained first, and it can be replaced while the laptop is running, because there’s an internal battery. I have 24Wh internal, a 16Wh external (it’s old, originallly it was 24Wh) and 72Wh external, in a 12 inch laptop (achievable because 72Wh battery sticks out and acts like a stand), giving me more battery life than anything else without an external power bank.

And I got mine for dirt cheap.

There are more movies like this. Movies that promote perversion of Great Patriotic War, USSR and nazism. BadComedian also reviewed these two films (this one has RU subtitles, you can enable translation to EN) which promote orthodox faith as an important factor for winning. The second one even has… SS officer shaking hand with Soviet soldier and in a different momet had said “I will not kill you brother”. Do I need to say how vile this all is? Oh, there is also a movie that is straight up pornographic. And, just to add a cherry on top, these films are actively promoted on state media, and sometimes are sponsored by “Cinema Fund of Russia”, which is spending tax money.

These movies are not about the Great Patriotic War.

Watched this some time ago. BadComedian is a film reviewer. The video is split into two parts, first being a review of a film “Marie, Save Moscow”, and the second is about the narrative that is being promoted in RU mass media - Ivan Ilyin and Ivan Shmelyov are being shown in good light, “faith allows people to win”, and so on. The film is about, and I am serious here, how “cold blooded communist woman” becomes “faithful and kind” through ortodox christianity. English is hard, I will expand the comment later.
