I mean you don’t hear anyone talking about van Basten either right? He won 3 ballon d’ors b4 the age of 28!! Imo it’s basically the passing of time. Unless you have a massive impact like Pele, Maradona or Cruyff, you’ll see massive talents like Platini, Van Basten and many more fade away slowly.
