By adding another sanction other than a yellow card or red card I think it will just add to the shit show lead to even more inconsistencies and talking points around refereeing decisions

It’s a terrible idea. Deal with dissent with yellow or red cards. I know some people push for sin bins in football but the game will be awful. Teams down to 10 will just time waste and play act until the 10 minutes is up.
My favourite part whenever City having a tough time is Kyle Walker having to show everyone that he’s a hard man
Spawny fuckers
How the fuck are City getting these decisions. They’re literally the only team in the league that gets these. And Haaland is pulling Cucurella’s arm as much as Cucurella is.
How on earth is that team lining up. Will Gross be at fullback? Or will it be 3 at the back and 4 centre mids? With 3 tricky attackers
Tsimikas definitely has a bit of Alberto Moreno about him
Who actually is the independent key match incident panel? Are they a bunch of ex referees, players, fans, lawyers?
I honestly thought they already distanced themselves from it years ago after they were shouting to defund the police and all the other garbage they spout.
Regarding the Chelsea penalty for handball Dermot says it’s irrelevant that it came off Mudruk so close to Saliba
”It comes off Mudryk, but blocks it going forward to another player.
Yet it’s completely contradictory to what he said earlier this season when he said that it’s not a penalty because Diaz flicked it just in front of Jackson
You say that, but Arsenal are literally responding to freaks getting angry on Twitter about their team photo
Well that’s definitely a photo with two people not shaking hands with each other
That’s bizarre positioning of the arm from Keane and he really can’t complain
I do think the ref can be more lenient there but I’m shocked that Young decided to dive in to begin with
I think this statistic can be a bit misleading. It would be more interesting to see a statistic from when Simeone took over.
From making his debut in 2009. He would have missed more games than he played from 2009 to 2012, when Atletico were pretty rubbish and would have a fairly low win ratio. In fact he probably missed more games from 2009-2012 than he did from 2012-2023. So most of his missed games are from pre Simeone and about 90% of the games he played would be under Simeone
Maybe an unpopular opinion but the competitiveness of the premier league from top to bottom is fine. Especially compared to other leagues. It is sport after all. You can’t just try and start from scratch and make every competitor somehow equal.
If I was a player, I’d much rather play on Christmas Eve than Boxing Day
Looking at those league positions it feels like a hell of a long time ago
Jesus this is ridiculous
