Honestly, I’d imagine a draw against Argentina in november would be kinda like a relief for Brazil. They’d keep the undefeated record and they’d dogde the only bullet that has real chances to defeat them. I don’t see Brazil losing to any other team at home even in their current state. Argentina has a historical chance now, but Brazil is Brazil and if they get their shit together they can indeed get a draw at the minimum. Specially since Argentina isn’t a scoring machine, they play incredible football and create many chances, but only score a fraction of them, the games against Ecuador and Paraguay are clear examples.
It will depend on how much they can improve though, if they play like they did today, there’s high chances they lose their record. But if they put the toilet in the bathroom and the fride in the kitchen, they do have some chances.
We argentinians repeated than nonsense for a long time, we struggled to qualify to the 1986 World Cup and ended up winning it, so everytime that we struggled we used to say we would have a great world cup just like in 1986, it never worked out that way though. We ended up winning our third cup after a great qualifier and arriving in our best form possible. If you don’t have a good world cup cycle, chances are you’ll also do bad at the world cup and viceversa. Obviously things like 1986 or 2002 can happen, but they’re not the norm nor desireable.
