Old lady seemed shocked I was swimming in it. “Hell naw I ain’t goin’ in there!” Well, lady, not many snakes or anything else. I was thrilled to see 5 fish, and only 1 was mature. And of all my trips there, that was the first time I’d seen more than 1 fish! (other than minnows)

Everybody acts like they’re being gamed when they offer us small ways to game them. I was installing satellite for a Sikh dude one day. He was schooling me on using his American Airlines CC for free miles. He paid the bill in full, every month, no interest or yearly fees, totally free. Dude flew his family back and forth to India for FREE. Why not? You gotta spend money on goods, right? Might as well get something back if you can.

That last sentence, yep. People don’t tend to factor in the carbon footprint of building anything they deem environmentally friendly. There’s a cost/benefit analysis to be made. A bad idea may actually be worse than what it’s replacing, or not beneficial enough to pursue.
