We know about things like FFP and home grown talent. But the teams at the bottom of the table generally come up one season from the Championship and then go down the next season.

How would you change this? Or should it be changed?

I still think City are going to be hard to beat this season which would make it about a million league titles in a row. It’s fair but is it ‘fair’ to all the other teams in the bottom half?

Set up rugby style officiating teams that stick together but make the VAR and onfield team responsible. Train them to work together and communicate like rugby officials and enhance the technology with automation and embedded sensors to make offsides, balls out of play and other breaches detectable by the automation.

Change the operating model so that PGMOL refs cannot have conflicts of interest or bribery/corruption which unfortunately for them, means no jaunts off to club owner gigs.

Make it clear that the VAR is there to check events more clearly for the ref and that the ref and linesman still need to call them as per they did before VAR introduction.

Enforce FFP and employ forensic accountants to drill into suspicious and intercompany funding revenues and stop clubs from legal wrangling and delay tactics.
