The ideal situation is a combination of getting the right people for the right job and empowering them to do their jobs.
It’s no surprise, that Arteta was the first manager after Wenger who had that platform, Emery just wasn’t the right person in the long run and we can admit he wasn’t empowered by the club to do his job either like for example, Arteta has been.
Arteta just feels right from a personal standpoint and Emery’s credentials speak for themselves, but sometimes, it’s just not the right fit. That’s why he’s striving at Villa and it’s great to see that.
