Couldn’t have written a better script for Havertz and I’m glad he got his moment finally.
Having said that, the attack still doesn’t look convincing. Way too predictable and the ruthlessness is missing when we get to the penalty area.
Credit to Brentford, they were really well organized for the entire game but this is more about our approach and how teams have found a way to neutralize the threat to a large extent. It seems we’re missing a presence in that final third. Would be interested to see how Mikel tackles this.
Control means nothing unless you can exercise it for offensive and defensive supremacy. No one is unhappy with the team’s performance but the lack of attacking edge is blatantly obvious.
City is the standard in this league, they create a lot more chances against every single opponent they face. While we’re struggling to break down bottom half defenses.
You’re not winning the league with the offensive firepower we’re showing atm which is the point, last year we didn’t expect to win the title, this season we expect to finish 2nd worst case.
