There’s a logic to pressing, there’s no point one man running around after the ball. Sometimes it’s better to be compact and make it difficult.
I think we should assume he’s doing what he’s been told by Arteta.

When in addition he doesnt even do the basic of running and working hard it is a disgrace he even gets minutes. Anyone who plays for Arsenal and gets subbed on with 15-20 minutes left should run rabid with full intensity like El Neny does.
