  • Ruben Neves would be a fantastic signing.

He is a real leader and warrior (captain at porto at 17 youngest ever, then captained a wolves side for years)

He has top tier quality on the ball, both long and short passing is excellent. Imagine him turning around and pinging balls instantly out wide to saka and nelli on the counter.

He has a deadly shot outside the box forcing opponents to adjust and not being able to sit completely deep all the time and giving him space to shoot.

His lack of pace is compensated by his ability to read the game and play to position himself correctly in defense (it is still a weakness but not a massive one)

Can play the 6 and the 8 to a very high level

If we get him in january our chances to win some big silverware are looking alot better.

  • 2 years ago i thought to myself, if Eddie can improve from where he is now then fair play we got a good backup striker.

Problem is he hasnt, he has actually regressed.

Against spurs and city there were stretches of 20-30 min where literally every time there was a battle with nketiah and another defender for the ball, no matter the circumstance, eddie would lose out.

And then the exact same thing happened when he came on as a sub against Sevilla. Literally watch eddie whenever he is in a 50/50 duel, he just loses, over and over and over again.

He has no technical offensive abilities that threaten the defenders, he has no physical abilities that threatens the defenders. Centerbacks literally know they have an easy day on the job when he plays.

It is just bad, it is painfully bad. I would almost go as far as to say he is playing as badly as last season Lacazette, but atleast Nketiah can somewhat run even though his pace is poor and his pressing has been severely lacking.

Its just not good enough, thanks for the memories Eddie, you had some fantastic clutch goals and helped us when we needed it against Chelsea, United twice etc, but its over.

  • yesterday we had gotten rid of two of the most glaring weaklinks in form of nketiah and ramsdale.

so we had only 1 clear weak link left in the XI and that was havertz.

what i dislike the most about havertz is his unwillingness to attack the ball, just look at some of the crosses nelli put in while havertz is just watching. its like he can only attack the ball if it falls straight on his head.

in addition his complete and utter timidness. when he tries to combine with saka, nelli etc he looks like a 14 year old kid who wants to shy away from responsibility.

I hated Xhaka as a player, i found him to be terrible technically both offensively and defensively, i found him to have severe limitations in so many phases of the game I thought an upgrade would be easy.

and somehow we have bought an even worse version of him. Hopefully he either dramatically improves soon or we sell him.
