How do you interpret contribution of Ariel duels one in the final third. Feel like if anything that’s been a bright spot for him

This idea that havertz is a creative player is just completely madness. Yet everyone in the media just runs with it

Wonder how long people will continue to defend his signing. (Being different to supporting him which we should all be doing anyway).

There were so many red flags that people ignored and continue to do so. He was, is, and (probably will be) an awful signing we’re stuck with.

It was a gamble, and so far it’s failing massively.

The bar for Havertz is so low that if he completes about 10 passes a game this sub considers that a successful game.

      It was a gamble

Yeah as I said when we signed him the problem with his extremely high wage and previous showing in the Premier League is that there is nowhere for him to go next which doesn’t involve us taking a big hit.

I have never understood this transfer from the very first link and if he was playing for a rival the people falling over themselves to praise him would be falling over themselves to mock him.

The signing was just not smart. It was drastically different move to our prior 2 seasons’ mostly sound strategy of signing young players with clear resale value. He was on mammoth wages even prior to signing, meaning it’s impossible to resell, and he had to be a big hit otherwise it’s a big squad building failure.

Where do we go from here, when other players and their agents see this dude is one of our top 3 earners? What a mess.

me who already sensed the red flags from the start because of our history with Chelsea transfers in here but had no choice but to cope in the end

Kai is learning the system and he needs more time. I am unhappy with his passing so far. He passes behind players or the passes are too soft and obviously the finishing has been bad. Having said that, he is good at carrying the ball, he wins headers, he wins tackles and his movement off the ball is good. Ultimately, it’s fair to judge his goals and assists, but I think they will come as he gets comfortable. For his price, I suppose we should expect a more immediate impact, but I’m ok to wait on it.

“Carries into final third” makes no sense to me. Kai is like rotating wall. Every ball towards hin is immediately bounced to another of our player.

This might sound strange but I genuinely wonder is his level of performance an anxiety issue. It seems like it at times with how he plays.

The most frustrating thing for me with this transfer is that with Rice and Xhaka or Rice and an actual improvement on Xhaka I think we’re as strong as City and playing as fluid as last year.
