Does the rest of Europe and the world dislike international breaks as much as we do in England ?
I was having this discussion with friends and I think it directly correlates with the quality of the league of your country.
For example Spain England Germany will dislike them as they would prefer to see their clubs playing , but for Croatia their national team is better than their club teams so they enjoy it.
I could be totally wrong so please let me know !
I would imagine it’s especially boring for PL watchers who don’t have any national football presence (ie most of Asia). I’m based in Singapore and I can tell you international breaks are so dead for us
I lived in Vietnam and the whole country gets worked up for u23 games.
its the hope that kills you
Same could be said for USA. MLS is a joke. A million teams franchised like the NBA and the quality of soccer is so hilarious.
Have you watched MLS recently? Most people who say this have never watched the league regularly.
NBA, nfl, college football, and any sport in America is littered to the fucking brim with commercials. Soccer is so refreshing seeing 45+ minutes of play a break then 45+ minutes of play. Instead of seeing the same ads 20 fucking times and watching 45 minutes of play over 3 fucking hours.
American here and couldn’t agree more. Hate international breaks
Ya but I started watching more USMNT it’s as but it’s still football we need a new manager so god damn bad.
As a fellow Singaporean, I have the same opinion
