After the Premier League handed out a ten-point deduction to Everton, Martyn Ziegler explains what could happen next for other clubs if they are found guilty of breaking rules
Question. In the event City/Chelsea do go down. Do they just replace the 18th place relegation spot that season? Or do 4 championship sides get to go up?
It’s highly unlikely either get relegated but even less likely Chelsea do. But if by that slim chance they do then they will just become 19th and 20th. Meaning only one other side will be relegated from the PL. It would be seen as unfair to relegate five teams in total from the premier league and bring up five championship teams.
