I just found out ronaldo is somehow on 45 goals this year, after a terrible year for him last year do you think he is one of the best players in the world or should I accept he is finished?

Messi and Ronaldo are done. I’m a Messi fan but the moment he moved to mls we don’t take his achievements seriously. Same with Ronaldo.

The Moment ten hag came, Ronaldos pro career ended

he was always one of the best, Santos is the worst coach in the history of football

If you watched Portugal matches and you think a worst coach than Santos exist, please stop watching football, its not for you.

He never was ‘not one of the best’; just was benched a lot and a bit out of confidence during his last spell at Man Utd. I think most elite teams would happily take him and some of them would even have him as a starter; for example, I think right now he would be perfect for Milan, Atlético or even PSG, if he were to accept smaller wages.

He never stopped bro. He still shows up whenever to score in important games doesn’t matter the league. He’ll always be top scorer.

Can’t say the same about the Ghost of Miami who scored less than 20 goals this whole calendar year in Paris and Burger League and likes choke slamming his opponents just like he likes choking in big games and begging for pens.

I’m a huge Ronaldo fan myself, but no, he is not one of the best right now. Same goes for Messi, Suarez, Cavani and other players who are doing well in minor leagues, there’s a reason those players don’t play in Europe anymore.

That being said, his performance is still one of the best we’ve ever seen from a 38 (soon 39) year old player, objectively. Also to all the people saying about Saudi League being “terrible”, yeah it’s not the top 5 leagues, but it’s definately much better in terms of quality, tactics and defending right now than all the other leagues players typically go to “retire” (MLS, South America, China etc). The league is not as bad as people try to pretend it is, there are at least 30 players that used to play in the top leagues some months ago. Let’s not pretend that Mahrez, Benzema or Bono became terrible players overnight. Plus Ronaldo is also proving himself consistently in the Asian CL and the Euro Qualifiers.

Long story short, is he one of the best? Nope. Is his performance still very decent for his age, for both club and country? Absolutely. There’s a reason he’s gonna be a starter in the Euros and he 100% deserves that spot.

We’ll see when the real games start, against teams like France, England, Germany, Spain, etc 😏

My wild guess is that the manager received a very big cheque.

You’re telling the Saudi league is more competitive than brasileirao or liga argentina. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

The defending on south american leagues is laughable. In Saudi League at least they have some sense of positioning and tactics.

Uruguay and Paraguay are historically known for their defensive strategies and the only thing Saudis are known are for violating human rights and overpaying players for a league no one is watching.

Why do you say Saudí is above them?

Only watch the South American out of the bunch, but according to Opta Saudi is below Brazilian, MLS, Argentinian and the Mexican league

So not Even a good retiring league quality wise (not that it matters, retiring league is still retiring league)

    Dude please

Saudi is shit and so is MLS, so stop making him relevant and just let them tap in and score goals. Let him prove himself in euros, we’ll see then.

95% of his goals this season have come in meaningless euro qualifiers against Lichtenstein Luxembourg Andorra Gibraltar San Marino etc. not to mention the garbage at the bottom of the Saudi league, which is equivalent to the 15th tier of English football
