People think that scrapping FFP will help the league. But in reality, it will make clubs spend beyond their spending and incur more debts.

This will be a bad thing for smaller clubs, who are trying to compete with big clubs.

The top 6 have rich owners, while clubs like city and New Castle united have states backing them up. They can spend as much as they want. Meanwhile, smaller clubs will not have the means to compete with them.

FFP is there to level up the ground and make sure lower clubs don’t bankrupt themselves. You can hate it as much as you want to, but without it alot of clubs will go bankrupt and even go in to administration.

FFP was designed to keep the big clubs big and small clubs small. It’s not to protect clubs from themselves, it’s not about anything other than maintaining the status quo for big clubs and not letting anyone else get to be a big club.

Wouldn’t dispute that it does help protect the big clubs’ positions, but also look at bankruptcies/administrations in the lower leagues before and after FFP… It’s helped hugely to keep clubs afloat.
