In your opinion, what are some of the greatest giant-killings in football? I’d be much more interested in any answers that don’t revolve around the FA Cup!

    Shevchenko - Crespo

    ------------Kaka

    Seedorf - Gattuso

    -‐-----------Pirlo

    Maldini - Stam - Nesta - Cafu

    --------------Dida

This was the best XI in club football history imo, zero weaknesses, every single player world class and at their peak, a world class manager, and it was beaten by Djimi Traore and Vladimar Smicer.

There’s no modern comparison because City, Real Madrid etc have weak areas. That Milan team was perfection. But its like Man City getting beat in the CL final by Fiorentina or Everton

Crespo peaked in Parma and Lazio end of 90s beginning of 2000s. Maldini peaked in the 90s. Jaap stam was barley a starter for Milan during that time. Cafu was on a decline and peaked in roma some years before.
