This also isnt overall passing just the final ball so dont say guys like Kroos, Scholes, Alonso etc

It’s actually one of Messi or Maradona. Same for anything else with the ball using the feet
David Silva was a complete master at that inverted pass where you slip the overlapping winger in when you’re on the edge of the box. Only a five/10 yard pass but extremely hard to get right.
Some of Lampard’s passes were just outrageous

Kroos has more passes into the final third than KDB. Not including him is criminal. Dude’s been one of, if not the best passer in the past decade
And if we’re talking final balls, not including Ronaldo is criminal

Fabregas, Özil & KDB have to be the most dominant players in setting up goals in the last 15 years.
On a different level, there’s Messi. He could pile up players and then release or play ridiculously insane through balls or lob passes to the back of the defence to set up goals.
De Bruyne the best crosser I’ve ever seen & probably 2nd best with threaded through balls. I count set piece delivery as crossing so that as well.
Messi best through balls & link up. Also the best playmaker ever.
