I’ll start, richarlison vs serbia
Charlie Adam vs Chelsea
Fredy Guarin scored a crazy longshot
Every player listed none are average
Lewis McGugan was
When i read the title I was thinking more along the lines of this…
Davey Scouse. Played at a barely professional level and as a centre back scored only 12 career goals but one of them was this absolute beauty…
Pavard vs Argentina in 2018 WC. Loved that goal even tho it was against the team I supported.
Is Pavard an average player though?
Champions League winner, World Champion for club and country.
Over 100 games for one of the world’s best clubs (Bayern). Almost 50 international caps for one of the world’s best national teams. (France).
Bang average…
/s
I’m scared of calling people bang avenge cuz someone someone will get way too mad for no reason.
But I’m thinking of Nacho’s goal vs Portugal in the 2018 World Cup. Nacho is a good footballer but I can’t think of anything else.
Tom Huddlestone was a bit average but he his leg was like a cannon. The man city one is especially good.
Crouch v man City think it was when he was playing for Stoke.
I asked for bang average players
if Richarlison is average, Crouch is too
Then also put Richarlison as an example.
Crouch was a great player
You guys have mad standards to be calling some of these players bang average.
I agree, but average is a really unhelpful word to use here.
If you’ve only ever watched Champions League level football then your definition of “average” will be very different compared to if you’ve spent your life watching lower league football.
I posted the Lewis McGugan goal, but was a bit hesitant to call him average because he was one of the best players in the Championship at the time.
Whereas OP gave Richarlison (20 goals in 43 appearances for Brazil) as their example of an average player.
Totally, I attend a lot of National League games. The standard is still worlds above anything anyone here could even dream of getting close to.
Yet when we got to the FA Cup third round and played Watford, up close this PL also-ran team were on another planet.
Any of those Watford players (Deeney aside) would be deemed “average” by most people here yet were probably in the top 1% of football pros on the planet.
My thoughts exactly. Players with 100+ premier league goals and players who scored in a Champions League Final aren’t ‘average’.
The majority are children who know football from playing FIFA and watching a few champions league games every year. Most have never even seen an average footballer.
Yeah fair point I guess
This whole post is stupid. I’ve seen men in their 50s score incredible goals in the park.
And that example OP gave?! Who was Richarlison playing for against Serbia? Must be some “bang average” country, I guess.
Yea, an avarage player is not even pro.
Tbf even if you’re just going bang average among professional footballers the argument is still near enough the same.
Anderlecht-Milan Mexes
Cameron Jerome scored a screamer for Birmingham against Liverpool around 2010
I remember like 3 months ago i was playing with my friends when we stopped for a few seconds for a reason i can’t remember. When we continued i had the ball at my feet and i randomly took a shot with no run up and i curled it into the top corner. I shot from like 12 meters (39 ft) which i know isn’t much but in a 20 meter (65 ft) field with around 3 meter (9ft) goals is pretty impressive. To this day i don’t understand how i had that incredible precision without even moving a single inch.
Darron Gibson scored a few screamers in his day and, by United standards (at the time), he was considered a bang average player with a good strike on him.
Messi goal against getafe
You are calling Messi average? I think you should seek professional help.
Dude wtf?
SharkGOAT Ferran torres is bigger in size and better at football than the growth hormones midget . Bro is at worst , even worse than ansufartpee flop.
Fc copenhagen’s Peter Møller, the ball never touched the ground after the goal kick.
Matty Taylor for Portsmouth, 2006
