Sometimes I’ll watch other games but TBH I never really cared about the Premier League until we were in it. But I would sometimes watch highlights of the matches that were in the same league as us.
However, I think it depends on your relationship with the team. If it’s a local team and you go to all the games then you are definitely a part of something that goes beyond football.

The fans are tedious. They whinge all the time. Their biggest complaint is how unlucky they are and they act as if being top four and six regularly is unfair - I guess because they didn’t win the league again? - when most teams never come close to that.
And they have so many fans. They are one of the biggest teams in the world but like to pretend that they are one of the smaller clubs.
