Sinclair was very highly regarded in the 90s. Every summer there were transfer rumours about him going to the biggest clubs in England and around Europe. The media were mystified why he stayed at QPR for so long.

He also scored more than 40 premier league goals and got 12 England caps whilst playing as a midfielder for bottom half teams.

Describing him as “bang average” is laughable.
